URBAN CHEF
Next Urban Chef Farm Dinner
June 27, 2026
Urban Chef is a month-long culinary residency with a focus on community, urban agriculture, and wellness. Hosted at Lopez Urban Farm in Pomona, California, the residency invites chefs to reconnect with food at its source while creating meaningful experiences for both themselves and their community.
In many kitchens, things move fast. Ingredients often arrive disconnected from the land, chefs work long hours under pressure, and there is little space to slow down and reflect on the deeper relationship between food, labor, and nourishment. Urban Chef was created as an alternative to that pace.Through this residency, chefs are invited into the rhythms of the farm to harvest, experiment, teach, share meals, and engage directly with the people they nourish. The residency centers storytelling, accessibility, hospitality, and community care while creating space for creativity, collaboration, and restoration.
Residents are encouraged to use the farm as both a creative and communal space. Whether through workshops, collaborative meals, open-fire cooking, or intimate conversation around food, Urban Chef exists to build deeper relationships between chefs, agriculture, and community.

Guests will gather at the farm for an evening centered around seasonal ingredients, conversation, hospitality, and storytelling through food.
Menus may shift with the harvest and reflect the chef’s personal relationship to cooking, culture, memory, and community. Guests can expect a slower and more intentional dining experience rooted in connection rather than exclusivity.
