Rent Party
Rent parties trace back to 1920s Harlem, where Black communities gathered in homes and jazz clubs to help neighbors cover rent through music, food, dancing, and collective care.
This summer, we’re bringing that spirit to Pomona. Join us for an evening supporting accessible green space, food justice, art, and community programming at Lopez Urban Farm.

Spike Hellis Live at Lopez Urban Farm
The Los Angeles-based electronic duo became fully formed on October 31st, 2019. Following the release of their first EP Crisis Talk in 2020, they self-released their debut full-length under their imprint Over-Pop in April 2022.
They've since toured relentlessly across North America, Europe, and Latin America with no end in sight.
They will be playing at Lopez Urban Farm this summer in support of their upcoming album.

Our FOLKLORE show will take you on a journey through the natural world as you enjoy a day touring our local farm, learning about sustainable circus, and experience the art of movement and storytelling.

Every month, children ages 2–12 and their caregivers come together at Lopez Urban Farm to explore the art of growing their own food. Milkweed Festival at Grow Native Nursery
Visit with exhibitors from Xerces Society, Lopez Urban Farm, Monarch Watch and more! Contribute to a pollinator themed craft activity. Attend a talk by local milkweed expert Steve Bryant on California's many native milkweed species (time TBD). CalBG admission not required to visit Grow Native Nursery.

Workers' Memorial Day
Join us for Workers' Memorial Day. We will honor those we've lost to workplace accidents and committing to fighting for those who continue to be exploited and hurt at work. Participate in dressing the altar by bringing offerings or a photo of a loved one who has passed from a workplace incident. There will be art, music, food for the community, poetry, and a program of speakers.
Jr. Farmers - Landscape Design at the Sunflower Stage
Jesus will lead Jr Farmers through an activity in designing a landscape concept at our sunflower stage.
