PUSD
At Lopez Urban Farm, we believe that education happens everywhere, not just in the classroom. Through our partnership with Pomona Unified School District (PUSD), we’re creating opportunities for students, families, and neighbors to connect with the land, learn from one another, and build a healthier, more resilient Pomona.
Our farm sits on PUSD land and proudly carries the name of Ignacio Lopez, a Pomona civil rights advocate whose legacy reminds us of the power of community, education, and collective action. His commitment to justice and opportunity continues to inspire the work we do today.
Together with PUSD, we’re reimagining what education and community resources can look like. From hands-on agricultural learning and environmental education to fresh food access, creative programming, and opportunities for community connection, we’re making space for people of all ages to learn, grow, and thrive.
By bringing education, urban agriculture, and community care together, we’re building something rooted in Pomona’s history and invested in its future.
